The new WordPress.com solution for IEA local association websites is free.   If you would like to upgrade your URL (address) to a custom domain name from mylocal.wordpress.org to mylocal.org this is a premium feature.

The IEA will post a link to your site on it’s local association website listing page no matter which way you choose to go.

There are two ways to accomplish this:

1. You can go directly through wordpress.com when you create your site.
2. Already have a wordpress site?  Click on Upgrades > Domains from your dashboard menu.

Do I need a domain name?

No.  But it will make it easier to share with your members, parents and public.
